Art Opening: Carol Farese-Viola “Many Moods”

Announcing with pleasure the newest show to hang at Evie Salon Studio, “Many Moods”, an exhibit of paintings by Carol Farese-Viola.

Carol Farese-Viola is the abstract artist behind Modartzy Designs. She has a background in interior design and psychology with a specialty in color consulting and home accessorizing. Not a traditionally trained artist, she uses her self taught skills and passion for color in every piece she creates. Her passion as an artist comes from the play of color in her work- the palette is what guides the design. Her art takes shape through the use of multiple techniques and experimentation with acrylics. Whether she uses manual manipulation of the paint for an unbridled fluidity or tools to help guide the paint in a more textural and structural way, the goal is still to draw people in with rich and diverse hue combinations. Her art allows the viewer to create their experience without guidelines.  

She works in her cozy attic studio in Melrose, Massachusetts. In September 2019 she had what she likes to refer to as her “art opening to the world,” with her first gallery show at Evie Salon! She has since been involved in the Melrose Window Art Walk, Melrose Open Studio Tour 2019, 2021 and 2024, Melrose Arts Festival 2022, as well as several art markets around the North Shore.
